We want to encourage everyone to continue to inform themselves and others about the counter-revolutionary war in Sudan. We encourage all people to make donations to a grassroots humanitarian organization on the ground. This is the simplest way to save lives and help people who are facing extreme vulnerability, physical danger, and psychological distress. We may not be able to transform the system of global hegemony all at once, but we can easily redistribute financial resources to those most in need through mutual aid. Mutual aid saves lives and the compounded effects of our giving do make the world more hospitable for the most vulnerable people.
We recommend donating to the following groups:
EyesonSudan.net is a great resource for learning more, contacting representatives, finding volunteer opportunities, ways to donate directly to the cause, host displaced Sudanese people, and resources for starting a fundraiser. All of these things do have an impact.
Beyond immediate humanitarian aid, the number one priority is a complete ceasefire between the warring parties. So, we also encourage all people to continue calling for a ceasefire and pressure their governments to suspend weapons sales to the United Arab Emirates. Finally, we humbly call on all supporters of human rights to advocate for safe corridors so that humanitarian aid can be safely delivered – because as it stands now, both the SAF and the RSF are obstructing the delivery of life-saving humanitarian aid. Ultimately, we hope for a future in which all human life is valued and protected, from Sudan, to Congo, to Palestine, to Haiti and beyond.
