While having very little power of enforcement, there is no doubt that human rights provides indispensable tools for activists and civil society in general. We show both the power and the weakness of human rights, and how people are using them to advance the fight for justice both inside and outside the courts. We also explore how the notion of human rights has been and must be extended to other forms of life and being in the world.
